Leah Fowlkes
I am Leah Fowlkes and I am a child of God! My faith journey began at a young age, rooted in the teachings of the non-denominational church and my family’s love of God. My faith was fostered in a household where we put God first. Growing up, I was blessed to be part of a family and community that fostered my relationship with God, helping me to understand the importance of compassion, service, and humility. Those early years shaped me into someone who believes that every step we take in life should reflect love, kindness, and the desire to uplift others.
As I’ve grown, so has my passion for giving back to the human experience. Whether through supporting those in need, sharing wisdom, or simply offering a listening ear, I find joy in helping others navigate their own challenges. I believe that we’re all connected by a shared experience and that through serving one another, we can create a world that reflects the love and grace that Christ exemplifies.
Now, more than ever, I feel called to continue this mission—to make a positive impact, inspire others, and contribute to the betterment of our communities. This has led me to my commitment to the Fowlkes Foundation. I strive to live with purpose and to offer my gifts in service to others, knowing that it’s through these small acts of kindness that we can truly make a difference.

William Fowlkes
I am William Orsino Fowlkes, a true follower of Jesus Christ, and a son, brother, father, mentor, colleague and friend. I was raised going to church, the Black Church, during the Civil Rights Movement. My parents and extended family nurtured me, and trained me in the “way that I should go” and was an integral part of my formative years. I dedicated my life to Christ at the age of thirteen (13), if my memory serves me. Since then, I have been on a mission to be a “blessing” to whomever I come across. Along the way, which has been decades now, I have developed and acquired certain tools, along with God given talents and abilities, to enable that mission. I haven’t always been successful in that, and that is life, but therein were the seeds sown to my commitment to the Fowlkes Foundation. That seed was watered, sprouted, and has grown into a plant that is producing fruit. Thank God for the seed, and the harvest! May the grace of God, and His peace be upon you.
